The food and service here are great. I got some spam musubi and teriyaki chicken, both of which were excellent. The teriyaki sauce wasn't too sweet and the portions were large enough that I had to take some home.
The service was fast and friendly, the waitstaff greeted me with a smile and were very courteous during our interaction.
SO WHY THE 2 STAR RATING, you are probably asking yourself. Chairs. The chairs sucked. So much so that I had to give this place 2 stars. The chairs are your basic plastic with metal legs no frills type of chairs. The problem is that the rubber feet have all worn down on them leaving sharp bare metal left for feet. Combine that with textured tile and people scooting back and forth and you get a room full of nails-on-chalkboard screeching. Yes I could have left, but I was already elbow deep in food by the time the cacophony started.
If I ever eat here again I'm wearing hearing protection and getting my order to go. Spam is a such a strong magnet that I can have my eardrums bleed for it and that's fine with me. -

The place isn't great. I can see the appeal, considering Hawaiian food is delicious (I've only had it once or twice, legitimate Hawaiian bbq).
The service here can use some work. It seems that the management makes cashiers do busy work while there's no one ordering which makes you feel like you're intruding on their busy work. I get that part.
I ordered the Island Fire chicken because I love a little fire in my life. The order taker told me it would take 15-20 minutes. Fine with me. I got this for take out. When I finally got my food, the plate itself looked amazing, but the food was rushed. The chicken itself was tasty but it was borderline undercooked and floppy.
Wouldn't recommend. Go to Panda Express next door. Save your $. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but meh. $12? Not worth it. I'd rather go somewhere tastier. -

This is the first time I visited this location. My comments a specific to this location only. The place was filthy no one cleaned the tables and the area where they had the fountain drinks. They took along time to get our food, in fact I had to go ask for a status update on the food. The cook had a bad attitude taking trash about me because I came to ask about the food I ordered for me and my coworker. It is a shame that this location represents One Hawaiian BBQ.

Food here is good but the customer service needs a big change. I'm all for having a good time in the work place and getting your job done but the girls in the front take unprofessionalism to a level that I'm sure any owner would be disappointed in seeing. I received my food fairly quickly, while my friend was left waiting for quite some time. That could have been avoided if they were paying closer attention to customers rather than one another's drama.
